Anya Gurholt brings extensive experience in promoting college and career readiness in public schools. She has worked in public education for over two decades, with a focus on increasing educational access for historically marginalized student groups.

She currently serves as Senior Director of Career Techical Education with the Alameda County Office of education, focusing on supporting a diverse and stable education workforce in partner districts.

She recently served as a Supervisor of College and Career Readiness for the San Francisco Unified School District, where she led efforts to increase college access and apprenticeships for historically underrepresented students.

Her earlier work in the Oakland Unified School District involved coaching teachers and school leadership teams to develop and improve college and career pathways. She also has extensive experience facilitating professional development on topics such as career techincal education, project-based learning, interdisciplinary curriculum, and social-emotional instructional strategies.

Anya Gurholt earned her Master’s in Education from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor’s in Education and Social Science from Westminster College. She recently participated in, and completed, UCLA’s Women’s School Leadership Academy.

Her professional certifications include: University of California Curriculum Integration Facilitator, Linked Learning Coach Certification, and Clear California Administrate & Teaching Credentials.
